MP3Garten is a radio show inspired by Kenneth Goldmith's archive-garden analogies to describe his work at UbuWeb [+ DM's with Jesse Paul Miller] and the increasing pattern of sound inclusion in popular music extracted from nature's field recordings.

The skeleton of this project is composed by opposite sides of the same coin, on one hand there's mixed loops obtained from Norman W. Long's archives and sound libraries (recordings of swamps, forests and rivers), and on the other, there's simulated bird sounds recorded directly from improvisations (based in the ornithologic performances by Johnny Rasse & Jean Boucault) that blend perfectly with authentic ones, blurring the line between the natural and the artificial.

The songs included here were chosen deliberately for their aesthetic properties from an mp3 collection i've been nourishing since 2005, including some pieces i've been looking for in recent years.
