BACTERIOMANCY is the soundtrack for Angel Lartigue's two part performance titled 'BACTERIOMANCY 2022'.

BACTERIOMANCY is conformed by four pieces and five movements featuring interdisciplinary artist/designer Qais Assali's appearing as a voice-loop guiding the audience through a line taken from Mahmoud Darwish’s
Psalm Three. The movements were conceived and presented as an attachment to accompany every phase in Lartigue's process and performance.

I•II•III•IV•V movements were developed as separate entities linking organic matter (seaweed collected from various coastlines in Los Angeles), putrefaction, reenactment, drawing, dissection and mummification, and employing a variety of sound resources such as generative synths, glitch environments, voice sampling, string ramifications and resonance.

BACTERIOMANCY 2022 was part of the group exhibition, 'unending beginnings', at USC Roski School of Art & Design, Los Angeles.
